As the saying goes, "old is gold," the original silk sari lasts for generations without changing its luster, color, or even fringe / zary. A sari made of pure Kanchi plum silk weighs at least 2-3 kilograms. A pure silk sari contains some silver. These types of gritty last for decades without wear. The original silk sari is warm when you rub your hands on the sari, and the texture of the thread becomes a little rough. The original silk sari also does not require a single automatic closing pin.
Kanchipuram sari is woven from pure Morus alba silk thread. Morus alba silk grows naturally in southern India, and the threads and zari used to create boundaries and designs grow naturally in Gujarat. Weavers use three shuttles when weaving sari from Kanchipuram silk.
