Careers

Working at iTokri.

Seven seats open. None of them are startup hustle culture.

iTokri has been running for 16 years on a few structural decisions that have not changed. We are self-funded. No Series B, no growth-at-all-cost mandate. We hold inventory, every piece, 10,000-plus artisans deep, 500-plus craft clusters wide, before it goes online. We don't run sales. We don't do discounts. We don't call ourselves a marketplace. The artisan is the designer, not a beneficiary.

The way we run feels closer to a family-run textile house than a tech company. Email threads. WhatsApp pings. Festival rushes that put everyone on the shop floor. A team that has spent 16 years figuring out what handmade-craft commerce actually wants. The role descriptions below are written by Nitin, the founder, in his own voice. Read them as that, not as standard recruiter copy.

Seven seats are open right now. Two are senior, four are interns, and one is a volunteer pool, structurally different from the rest. Pick the one that fits, scroll, apply. If none fit and you still want to work with us, the volunteer pool is the right door.

Outreach Manager

Senior  ·  Founder office  ·  Full-time, salary band

You are the person stitching iTokri's voice across every place that voice lands.

Core KPI: build iTokri's outreach. Expand the brand. The role lives at the intersection of fellow founders, designers, NGO partners, government bodies, journalists, fellow brands, festival circuits, and our own artisan clusters. Founder writes with Claude help; you publish, monitor, engage. You hold the partnership pipeline, the publishing calendar, the relationship tracker.

Content Writer / Editor / Publishing Manager

Senior  ·  Editorial spine  ·  Full-time, salary band

The voice keeper. You write iTokri's words across the channels iTokri shows up on, and you keep them sounding like one human.

Core KPI: keep iTokri's voice consistent across every channel iTokri publishes on. Run the publishing rhythm. Make Nitin's writing land cleaner. Long-form essays in iTokri's brand voice, founder-draft editing for voice consistency, editorial calendar across LinkedIn + blog + YouTube descriptions + email, brand-canon discipline. You have written professionally for 4-plus years. You can flex from a 600-word LinkedIn post to a 4,000-word essay without losing voice.

You learn how craft search behaves on the internet, and you help us show up when it does.

Core KPI: help iTokri's organic visibility grow on craft-specific queries across English, Hindi, and Hinglish search behavior. Digital Marketing Intern (Meta + Google)

Intern  ·  Reports to Lavush + Rahul  ·  30 to 40 hrs/wk  ·  4 to 6 month commitment

You learn how Meta and Google ads actually work on a real handmade-craft brand running them every day.

Core KPI: keep iTokri's Meta + Google ad accounts performing healthy daily, surface anomalies, ship the reports that let the team act fast. Daily account health checks, weekly search-term reviews, creative inventory tracking, AdSmith bridge tool usage (iTokri's internal Slack tool that turns a 5-field brief into ad copy), GA4 cross-reference. We sit at roughly 250 orders a day domestic and 30 a day international; the ad layer carries real weight.

Intern  ·  Reports to Srishti  ·  30 to 40 hrs/wk  ·  4 to 6 month commitment

You learn how a 16-year-old craft brand actually runs its social channels every day, on real cadence, with a real audience.

Core KPI: keep iTokri's brand-account social channels publishing consistently in iTokri's voice, on Srishti's cadence, at the design quality the team has set. Schedule + publish across Instagram + Facebook + Pinterest, community management, weekly content rotation, editorial calendar Sheet hygiene, pair with the design interns on still-image work. You will be the fourth seat on Srishti's existing 3-intern team. The customer brand voice is the register; founder voice belongs on Nitin's personal channels.

YouTube Content Design + Management Intern

Intern  ·  Reports to Nitin  ·  30 to 40 hrs/wk  ·  4 to 6 month commitment

You help a 16-year-old craft brand stand up a YouTube channel from scratch, on real cadence, learning every part of the production pipeline along the way.

Core KPI: keep iTokri's YouTube channel publishing on cadence with thumbnails that earn the click and edits that hold the watch-time. Pre-production research, video cuts in DaVinci or Premiere or whatever you know best, thumbnail design, uploads + scheduling, comment management, retention-curve tracking. The channel does not exist yet. Episode 1 is being scoped. There is no team to inherit from. Documentary-essayist register, not MrBeast fast-cuts.

Volunteer Pool

Volunteer  ·  Skill-matched, project-routed  ·  5 to 15 hrs/wk  ·  Less than 26 weeks default

You spend 5 to 15 hours a week on a real piece of work at a 16-year-old craft brand, on a project you actually want to be on, with a named operator who treats your time like time.

Structurally different from the roles above. Not a per-skill role. Single intake form. Project-routed via skill match. We do not pay volunteers; what you get instead is real project work that ships under your name, exposure to iTokri's working team, named credit on shipped work, recommendation letter after 12-plus weeks of clean delivery, and first-look access to internships when they open. Skills welcomed: research, long-form writing, short-form social copy, photography, video editing, translation, event support, social engagement, outreach support, data analysis, design, and other craft-adjacent work.

A note on what we look for across every seat above. You use AI tools as part of how you work, with specific outputs from the last 30 days you can show us. You ship on time, and when you don't, you say so before the deadline lands, not after. You think about week 2 before week 1. You read or try something new each week even when nobody asked you to. You disagree by saying so, in the room, with reasons. None of these are interview answers; they are how the team already works.

Craft affinity matters. You do not need to know the difference between a Bagh print and a Bagru print on day one. You do need to want to learn. If Indian craft does not pull at you at all, the work below will start feeling like a chore by month two, and we will both notice.

Apply via the role-specific email above, or careers@itokri.com with the role title in the subject line.
