EkiBeki is a social enterprise that combines work to preserve India's rich craft heritage and promote traditional arts and crafts in contemporary forms. The products are handcrafted by talented artisans living in small, remote villages across India and made from eco-friendly materials, perfect to help create a sustainable future. In Marathi, "Eki" means odd, single, or unified, and "Beki" means even, common, or diverse. As the name implies, balance is achieved by bringing together things that have traditionally been seen as contradicting each other. Ekibeki's vision is to revive the folk arts and crafts of India while helping to create livelihoods for young women and artisans.
