When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

What is Bandhani?
Bandhani is a tie-dye craft from Gujarat and Rajasthan, with roots going back 5,000 years. Artisans use fingernails to pinch fabric into tiny points and tie each one with thread. A single saree can have over 10,000 ties.
How is Bandhani done?
The artisan lifts fabric with a fingernail, ties it tightly with thread at that point, and repeats thousands of times to create a pattern. The tied cloth is then dipped in dye baths. Untying reveals the pattern.
How do I know this is hand-tied and not digitally printed?
Hand-tied Bandhani shows subtle color gradients where dye seeps near the ties. The pattern is slightly imperfect and organic. Machine prints look uniform and flat in comparison.
Why does the pattern vary between pieces?
Every tie is placed by hand. The pressure, spacing, and dye absorption differ each time. Two Bandhani pieces from the same maker will share the style but differ in exact pattern placement.
How do I wash Bandhani products?
Wash separately in cold water the first time. some color release is normal. Use mild soap. Avoid bleach. Air dry in shade. Colors become more settled and vivid after the first wash.
What does Cotton feel like?
Cotton feels soft, breathable, and familiar against skin. Handloom cotton has a slight irregularity you can feel with your fingertips . tiny slubs that machine-made fabric lacks.
How do I wash Cotton products?
Hand wash or gentle machine cycle in cold water. Use mild detergent. Cotton can shrink 3-5% in the first wash. that's normal. Air dry in shade for best color retention.
Is Cotton suitable for all seasons?
Cotton breathes well in hot weather and layers comfortably in winter. It's one of the most versatile fabrics across Indian seasons. Lighter weaves suit summer; denser ones work in cooler months.
How durable is Cotton?
Cotton is one of the most durable natural fabrics. It holds up well to regular washing and daily wear. Handloom cotton often outlasts its machine-made counterparts.
What makes handloom Cotton different from mul cotton?
Handloom Cotton has a distinct texture. slightly uneven, with a softer hand-feel. It's woven on manual looms with natural yarn tension. Mill cotton is uniform but lacks that organic character.
