Kailash patwa belongs to the traditional Patwa community, known for the historic craft of thread jewellery practiced since the time of Kings and Emperors. Along with a team of 15–20 artisans, he creates handcrafted necklaces, earrings, anklets, bracelets, waistbands, and parandis using threads, beads, ghungroos, shells, and traditional tools like the wooden charkhi. His work blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary designs that are lightweight, colourful, wearable, and custom-made to match modern styles and outfits. Practicing this craft for over 15 years, he has been participating in exhibitions and bazaars organised by Dastkar, Dastkari Haat Samiti, and the Crafts Council of India since 1993. For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

What is Patwa Thread?
Patwa Thread Work comes from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Patwa artisans twist silk and cotton threads into decorative tassels, fringes, necklaces, and rakhi. Thread-wrapping creates bright colored patterns.
How is Patwa Thread made?
Patwa artisans spin threads on a hand-held spindle, twist multiple colored threads together, and shape them into tassels, ornaments, and jewelry. The wrapping and knotting is done by hand. Each piece is assembled from many thread components.
How can I tell this is genuinely handmade?
Look for minor variations in shape, color, or pattern. Machine-made products look perfectly uniform. Handmade Digital Print pieces carry the maker's touch in every small detail.
Why does each piece look slightly different?
Every piece is made by hand, one at a time. Slight differences in material, pressure, and technique make each one unique. That's what separates handcraft from factory output.
How do I care for Patwa Thread products?
Handle gently. Keep dry and clean. Specific care depends on the material. check the product page. Most pieces stay in excellent condition with regular dusting and gentle handling.
Are these real Beads And Stones?
Beads and stones feel cool, smooth, and have noticeable weight. Glass beads are glossy and uniform. Stone beads have natural grain variations. Together they create a textured, layered feel.
How do I care for Beads And Stones products?
Wipe gently with a soft cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners. Store separately to prevent scratching against other jewelry or hard surfaces. Handle with care. natural stones can chip.
Will the color of Beads And Stones change over time?
Natural stones maintain their color. Some may develop a deeper tone with body contact and wear. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and chemical contact to preserve the original look.
Are Beads And Stones products hypoallergenic?
Natural stones are generally skin-safe. The metal setting may cause sensitivity in some people. Check the product page for the base metal used and choose accordingly.
How can I tell these are genuine Beads And Stones?
Natural stones have internal patterns, slight inclusions, and color variations. No two are exactly alike. Uniform, flawless appearance usually indicates synthetic alternatives.
