What length and width can I expect in your sarees?
Our sarees are typically 5.5 metres long with a 0.8-metre blouse piece. Some come at 6.3 metres without a separate blouse piece. Check the product page for exact measurements.
Does this saree come with a blouse piece?
Most of our sarees include an unstitched blouse piece. The product page clearly mentions if one is included. If it says 'without blouse,' only the saree is shipped.
Can I wear this for daily use or is it more for occasions?
We carry both everyday and occasion sarees. Lighter fabrics work well daily. Heavier weaves or embroidered ones suit weddings and festivals. The product description notes the best fit.
How should I store my saree when not wearing it?

Is the fall and pico already done?
Fall and pico (stitched border) are not done unless the listing specifically says so. Most sarees ship unstitched. Many local tailors offer fall and pico service at a nominal cost.
What is Jamdani weaving?
Jamdani is a fine muslin weaving technique from Bengal, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural tradition. Patterns are woven directly into the fabric using supplementary weft threads. No surface embroidery is involved.
How long does it take to weave a Jamdani product?
Two weavers sit side by side at the loom. One manages the base weave while the other inserts pattern threads using small bamboo sticks. A single saree can take weeks to months. Every motif is woven, not printed or stitched.
How can I tell if this is handloom and not powerloom?
Handloom fabric has a slightly uneven texture when you run your fingers along it. The selvedge edges look different from machine-woven ones. The weave carries a softness that powerlooms cannot replicate.
Why are there slight irregularities in the weave?
A human hand operates the loom. Thread tension, shuttle speed, and pedal pressure vary naturally. These small irregularities are proof of handloom origin. not defects.
How do I care for Jamdani handloom products?
Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent for the first few washes. Avoid wringing. gently squeeze and dry flat in shade. The fabric softens beautifully with each wash.
What does Cotton feel like?
Cotton feels soft, breathable, and familiar against skin. Handloom cotton has a slight irregularity you can feel with your fingertips . tiny slubs that machine-made fabric lacks.
How do I wash Cotton products?
Hand wash or gentle machine cycle in cold water. Use mild detergent. Cotton can shrink 3-5% in the first wash. that's normal. Air dry in shade for best color retention.
Is Cotton suitable for all seasons?
Cotton breathes well in hot weather and layers comfortably in winter. It's one of the most versatile fabrics across Indian seasons. Lighter weaves suit summer; denser ones work in cooler months.
