For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

Bengal Craft encompasses the diverse handcraft traditions of West Bengal including terracotta sculpture, sholapith (pith) carving, conch shell work, jute products, and Baluchari weaving. Each sub-craft has its own artisan community.
Each Bengal craft follows its own process. Terracotta artisans shape and fire local clay. Sholapith carvers slice dried pith into paper-thin sheets. Conch shell workers cut and polish seashells. Methods are community-specific.
Look for minor variations in shape, color, or pattern. Machine-made products look perfectly uniform. Handmade Digital Print pieces carry the maker's touch in every small detail.
Every piece is made by hand, one at a time. Slight differences in material, pressure, and technique make each one unique. That's what separates handcraft from factory output.
Handle gently. Keep dry and clean. Specific care depends on the material. check the product page. Most pieces stay in excellent condition with regular dusting and gentle handling.
Terracotta feels earthy, warm, and slightly porous. The clay surface has a natural roughness that holds the fingerprints of the potter. Each piece carries a subtle, grounding warmth.
Keep dry and dust regularly with a soft cloth. Avoid prolonged moisture or water soaking. Terracotta products hold up well with gentle handling and basic maintenance.
Yes. Terracotta is a natural, sustainable material. It's sourced locally, processed with minimal chemicals, and biodegradable. Choosing terracotta supports both the environment and traditional makers.
With proper care, Terracotta products last for years. Natural materials develop character over time. slight color changes and surface patina are normal and add to the appeal.
Some moisture is fine for most Terracotta products. Prolonged dampness or waterlogging can cause damage. In humid climates, ensure good air circulation around the product and wipe dry as needed.
