Material
Bagh hand block print pure mul cotton fabric from Madhya Pradesh is crafted using centuries-old wooden block printing techniques. Sourced by Priyanka Baheti, this fabric reflects a well-practiced process where each motif is printed with precision. It is dyed with natural indigo, giving it deep, rich blue tones developed through multiple dyeing stages. The mul cotton base makes it suitable for sarees, suit sets, kurtas, dupattas, dresses, stoles and various home decor applications.
A Note on Handmade Beauty
Each piece is hand block printed and dyed using natural colors over a slow process of 15–20 days. As a result, you may notice slight variations in color, mild pigment smudges, or irregular dye patterns, these are not defects. They’re gentle marks of authenticity, proudly bearing the touch of human hands, heritage, and nature’s own palette. Wear them like a signature, because no two pieces are ever alike.
Care
Gentle hand wash separately in cold water with mild/liquid detergents, excess natural colours may bleed when washed for the first time. Avoid soaking for too long.
Note: Minor color bleed may first 1–2 washes, It is recommended to soak in salt water before stitching.
Colour
Slight difference in colour from the visible product image is possible.

What is Bagh printing?
Bagh printing comes from the town of Bagh in Madhya Pradesh, near the Bagh river. It uses only natural red and black dyes on cotton. The Khatri families here have a GI-tagged tradition going back centuries.
How is Bagh printing done?
Fabric is soaked in castor oil and goat dung, then washed in the Bagh river. Carved teak blocks stamp alizarin red and iron-black dyes. After printing, the fabric is boiled in dhawda flower solution to fix colors.
How can I tell if my Bagh product is genuinely block printed?
Look for slight irregularities in the pattern. block prints are never perfectly symmetrical. The reverse side shows faint ink marks. These small imperfections confirm it's hand-stamped, not machine-made.
Why do Bagh prints look slightly different from each other?
Each impression is placed by hand. Block pressure, ink amount, and fabric texture create natural variations. Two pieces from the same batch will look similar but never identical.
How should I wash Bagh printed products?
First wash in cold water with a pinch of salt to set the dye. Always hand wash or gentle machine cycle. Dry in shade. direct sun can shift natural dye colors over time.
What does Voile feel like?
Voile is paper-thin and semi-sheer. It feels crisp, smooth, and extremely lightweight. The fabric has a clean finish that makes it ideal for layering in warm weather.
How do I wash Voile products?
Hand wash or gentle machine cycle in cold water. Use mild detergent. Voile can shrink 3-5% in the first wash. that's normal. Air dry in shade for best color retention.
Is Voile suitable for all seasons?
Voile breathes well in hot weather and layers comfortably in winter. It's one of the most versatile fabrics across Indian seasons. Lighter weaves suit summer; denser ones work in cooler months.
How durable is Voile?
Voile is one of the most durable natural fabrics. It holds up well to regular washing and daily wear. Handloom voile often outlasts its machine-made counterparts.
What makes handloom Voile different from mul cotton?
Handloom Voile has a distinct texture. slightly uneven, with a softer hand-feel. It's woven on manual looms with natural yarn tension. Mul cotton is uniform but lacks that organic character.
