Fine quality kalamkari soft cotton stole handpainted with natural dyes. This exquisite stole is created with Srikalahasti style of kalamkari, wherein the "kalam" is used for free-hand by master artisans with a thin pen made from bamboo or date palm sticks, and the outlines are then filled in with natural colours. Kalamkari in Srikalahasti has been around for approximately 200 years. Unlike other places where this particular craft is practiced, artists in Srikalahasti retain the ancient techniques of dyeing that have been passed down through generations. As it is hand-painted or handcrafted, colour spread and irregularities in the design are common, so it won't be considered damaged or defective.
Care
Gentle hand wash separately in cold water with mild/liquid detergents, excess natural colours may bleed when washed for the first time. Avoid soaking for too long.
Colour
Slight difference in colour from the visible product image is possible. Read more.

For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.
I'm really happy with my order!
