With five national award winners and the Shilp Guru Award (Rajendra Bondwal), the Bondwal family is at the top of the list. Traditionally, his grandfather, father, and uncle have been working on ivory for generations. Over time, they had to switch to sandalwood and then to Kadam and Abnoosewood.
