To ensure the sustainability of artisans' livelihoods in Lucknow Safe Society Started working with the HCL Foundation to empower women economically and provide them a platform where they can feel secure in both term, social and economic stability. SHWET was founded in a country where women have the strongest temperament, willpower, and natural ability to nurture and the goal is to only grant them the gift of creative craftsmanship and blessing of being socioeconomically empowered in the society. Shwet is an idea that arose from our concerns for marginalized women in order to strengthen, empower, and mainstream them. A strong artisan community must be established to mitigate the challenge of an unorganized force of artisans.

Chikankari is a popular embroidery work done with the help of a white cotton thread on fine white cotton material. It is also known as shadow work. Chikan is an extremely delicate and artfully done hand embroidery on fabrics like muslin, silk, chiffon, organza, net, etc
For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
