Pots with large amounts of growing medium dries more slowly and can grow larger, stronger plants. Always look for pots with large or heavy foundations to ensure stability.
When choosing a pot for your new plant, make sure it has a drainage hole and space for the plant to grow. Buy a pot that is at least an inch larger than the root mass of the plant, and use a pot that is 4 inches wider if you expect the plant to grow quickly.
Fiberglass is more capable of maintaining and regulating temperatures, while plastic can transform at high temperatures and crack when cold. In general, fiberglass is much more durable than plastic. It can better retain its shape while preserving structural integrity for longer periods of time.
