This comprehensive program aims to rejuvenate sick hand-woven clusters through end-to-end programs. The overall purpose of this intervention is to transform a cluster of six pilot weaving factories by establishing entrepreneur-led micro-enterprises in each element of the value chain. In the first year, a total of three handloomsere were selected, one for each of the states known for their rich cultural textiles, Orissa, Assam, and Nagaland. Incubation and Design Centers have also been set up in these three pilot states as one-stop destinations for traditional craft buyers, designers, researchers, and enthusiasts. In the second year, three clusters were added to Orissa, Assam, and Andhra Pradesh.
