I'm Abubakar Kasam Mara from Bhuj-Kutch, Gujarat. I began this art in my teens because my family was lippan work artists, and I learned it from my father. elders. My wife and children helped me grow this art by exploring it and creating something new each day. We made it a small business and named it "Urban Handicraft." My children have seen me do this art for ages, so they are also very ambitious about taking it further. Then I started doing my own artwork, and slowly I went to exhibitions and shows. I got much help from websites and social media platforms during the pandemic. The people outside Gujarat, especially the tourists, are more attracted to this traditional Lippan art. I had done many site visits at hotels, resorts, and houses with my team.
