On July 7, 1998, seeds were sown in Barmer, Rajasthan, under the name Gramin Vikas Evam Chetan Sansthan (GVCS), which visualized the empowerment and uplifting of rural areas and underprivileged communities. GVCS believes that all individuals can reach their potential if they are allowed to participate in the decision-making process so that they can exercise their right to express their opinions in order to increase the efficiency of the organization. They maintain their commitment to rural development and women's empowerment and are a true symbol of the artisan and craftsmanship organization. Their authenticity in craft and the sheer determination of their craftsmen make their products more genuine and original.
