The Srijani Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional hand weaving and continuously improving the skills of weavers in Bihar. Bun Kar Bihar is a brand that introduces textiles and handmade products made in rural areas of the state. The Foundation was registered in Patna, Bihar on September 24, 2015, under Social Registration Act 21 of 1860, and received a grant from Tatatrust in January 2016 for a project called "Weaving for a Living." Their intervention in rural Bihar helped initiate a movement that impacts women and men in 275 families and empowers them to advocate livelihood opportunities. By offering traditional crafts, the rural community and crafts and marketing experts come together to deliver a beautiful and happy craft experience in one place.
