"Baragaon Weaves, established in 2014, is a livelihood creation program for the artisan weavers of Baragaon and surrounding villages in Barabanki district, in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Currently, Baragaon Weaves works with 10 weaving families in Baragaon village. The program has a triple objective. First, ensure fair and decent wages for weavers. Second, improve the social and economic status of weavers. And third, popularize handicraft weaving, and cotton weaving and expand the market for handmade products.
