Bamboo was one of the fascinating words for me as I was born and brought up in Bamboo. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing woody Grasses found all over the world. Its most sustainable & flexible natural material too. My father Mr Ajit Thakur is working in the field of bamboo propagation and cultivation from past 38 years, we have a beautiful bamboo farm located at Raigad District of Maharashtra which is looked after my husband, Mr Anand Patki. While working along with my father and husband I got to know there are many national award winning bamboo artisans who never got a good platform to sell their products. So to know artisans strength and weeknesses I started working with Bamboo artisans. After spending years with artisans, Bamboo Tantra was formed in the year 2018. Currently Bamboo Tantra is working with bamboo artisans based all over India. And supporting bamboo artisans to conserve their inherent craft. It was always collateral learning for me as well as artisans because i always wanted to strengthen bamboo artisans as that was main objective of Bamboo Tantra.
