Material
Fine quality natural dyed brown handloom striped malkha cotton fabric. Malkha is pure cotton cloth made directly from raw cotton in the village close to cotton fields and combines traditional Indian principles of cloth making with modern small-scale technology. The colors that the Natural Dyes impart to the Malkha fabric are deep and vibrant - imbued with the richness of the earth. They vary from season to season, as fruits and vegetables do, and so each piece is subtly unique, changing its tone with the position of the sun and the quality of the water in the nearby river.
Care
If you want it to always be vibrant, like the day it was made, we suggest you skip dry cleaning, laundry detergent and if you are able, even a washing machine. Use a non-detergent soap if you must or just give it a quick hearty rinse in cold water.
Colour
Slight difference in color from the visible product image is possible. Read more.

Malkha
Verified Partner
Malkha started in 2003 by Uzramma is a Hyderabad-based project that combines thousands of years of Indian cotton-growing experience with modern Indian technical skills. Malkha fabric is woven by families of skilled weavers on looms in villages in India from cotton grown by small farming families. Malkha's goal is to replace large spinning mills with smaller ones located near cotton plantations and weavers so that their spinning scale matches that of smaller farming and weaving. Malkha's initiative brings beauty to the hand-weaving she makes by staying true to the traditional Indian nature of the village's textile making.

For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.
If the seams are sticking out, uneven, or appearing to be stitched multiple times, the quality is poor. You can also remove the fabric from both sides of the seam and peel it off a bit. If the fabric peels off the seam, it is most likely that the seam is very weak and not sewn well.
Due to its ultra-fine fibres, synthetic microfibre is the fabric that lasts the longest at this time. Its fibres are tightly woven which creates a strong layer of protection.
Naturally woven or knitted cotton fabrics are very comfortable and are one of the best fabrics for making garments. Breathable fabric that keeps you cool even at high temperatures. The best thing about sewing cotton is that it's easy.
Clothing made from cotton and its blends is the most common fabric loved by people all over the world. Cotton suits are very popular in India due to the long summer and the variety of fabrics. From casual to formal, cotton clothing is a must for everyone.
