Firstly, the clay is made with chalk powder, adhesive, and natural mud from a pond. This clay is cylindrically rolled with palms or on a flat surface. Then a drawing is done with a pencil, whichever design required. Then the clay roled is pasted with adhesive on MDF plywood according to the design. After it is dried, the design is decorated with some "abhlas" (mirrors). And left 3 hours to dry. Then the colours are added to the whole piece or to some area wherever needed. Then the colours covering the mirrors are removed with a wet cloth, and in the end, outlines are given if needed.

My wife and children helped me grow this art by exploring it and creating something new each day. We made it a small business and named it "Urban Handicraft." My children have seen me do this art for ages, so they are also very ambitious about taking it further. Then I started doing my own artwork, and slowly I went to exhibitions and shows. I got much help from websites and social media platforms during the pandemic. The people outside Gujarat, especially the tourists, are more attracted to this traditional Lippan art. I had done many site visits at hotels, resorts, and houses with my team.
