How do I know this is genuinely handmade?
We source every product directly from artisan workshops across India. No middlemen, no factories. We work with over 10,000 artisans in 500+ craft clusters.
How will my order be packed?
Every order includes a handwritten note and a small surprise gift from us. Your product is wrapped carefully to reach you safe. We've done this since day one.
Does this come with a bulb or wiring?
Most lamps come without bulbs or wiring unless the listing specifies otherwise. The product page states if it is electric-ready or designed for candles or diyas. Check dimensions carefully.
What type of bulb does this use?
Electric lamps typically use standard E27 or B22 bulbs. Some accent lamps use E14 small bulbs. The product page mentions the fitting type. We recommend warm-tone LED bulbs for best effect.
What material is this made from?
Our lamps are crafted from metal, wood, ceramic, glass, or fabric depending on the design. The product page lists the exact material. Handmade lamps may show natural variations.
Is this suitable for regular daily use?
Yes. Our electric lamps are wired for standard home use. Decorative lamps using candles or diyas should be supervised while lit. Place on stable, heat-safe surfaces.
Can I use this outdoors?
Most of our lamps are designed for indoor use. Metal and glass lantern-style lamps can be used in covered outdoor spaces. Avoid direct rain exposure. Check the product page for specific guidance.
What is Pattachitra art?
Pattachitra is a scroll painting tradition from Odisha and West Bengal. Artists paint mythological narratives on specially prepared cloth (patta) using natural colors. Jagannath temple themes are a recurring subject.
Who are the artists behind Pattachitra art?
The artist prepares the canvas by layering cloth with tamarind seed paste and chalk powder. Outlines are drawn with a fine brush, then filled with natural colors. Fine borders frame each scene. A single painting takes days to weeks.
Are natural colors used in Pattachitra art?
Traditional Pattachitra uses natural pigments and earth-based colors. Some modern interpretations use acrylic for durability. The product description mentions the medium used in each piece.
Can I frame this or display it directly?
Most Pattachitra artworks are ready for framing. Some come on paper, some on fabric or wood. Frame under glass to protect from dust and moisture. Display away from direct sunlight.
How do I care for Pattachitra art pieces?
Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. If framed under glass, it needs minimal care. Avoid touching painted surfaces with wet hands.
