For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

Every order includes a handwritten note and a small surprise gift from us. Your product is wrapped carefully to reach you safe. We've done this since day one.
What material is this diya made from?
Our diyas are crafted from terracotta, brass, ceramic, or hand-painted clay. The product page lists the exact material. Traditional terracotta diyas are unglazed for oil absorption.
Does this come with oil or wicks?
Traditional diyas are sold without wicks or oil unless the listing says otherwise. Cotton wicks and mustard oil are easily available locally. Decorative painted diyas come as-is for display.
Can I use this with both oil and wax?
Terracotta and ceramic diyas work well with both oil and small tea light candles. Brass diyas are traditionally used with oil and cotton wicks. Check dimensions to ensure your candle fits.
Is this for daily use or festive decoration?
Both. Simple terracotta and brass diyas are built for regular puja use. Painted and decorative diyas double as festive decor. Many customers buy a mix of both.
How do I clean this after use?
Wipe brass diyas with a dry cloth. Terracotta diyas absorb oil over time and may not clean fully, which is normal. Painted and ceramic diyas can be gently wiped with a damp cloth.
What is Madhubani Papier Mache?
Madhubani Papier Mache combines Bihar's paper mache shaping with Madhubani painting. Artisans create forms from paper pulp, then hand-paint them with Madhubani motifs. fish, birds, lotus, and geometric border patterns.
How is Madhubani Papier Mache made?
Artisans make a paper pulp from waste paper, shape it over molds, dry it, apply a smooth base coat, then paint Madhubani designs using fine brushes. Natural and acrylic pigments are used. The painted surface is sealed with lacquer.
How can I tell this is genuinely handmade?
Look for minor variations in shape, color, or pattern. Machine-made products look perfectly uniform. Handmade Digital Print pieces carry the maker's touch in every small detail.
Why does each piece look slightly different?
Every piece is made by hand, one at a time. Slight differences in material, pressure, and technique make each one unique. That's what separates handcraft from factory output.
How do I care for Madhubani Papier Mache products?
Handle gently. Keep dry and clean. Specific care depends on the material. Check the product page. Most pieces stay in excellent condition with regular dusting and gentle handling.
