Each piece reflects the traditional kalamkari process, where the design is first drawn by hand using a kalam (a bamboo pen) and then filled with colours that are naturally derived from leaves, flowers and other plant sources. This product comes from Dwaraka Plus, a not-for-profit, artisan-owned initiative started in 1998 by Anita Reddy and Dwaraknath Reddy. The organisation works closely with artisan communities to keep this handpainted kalamkari tradition alive while also creating steady work opportunities, especially for women artisans. The wallet is designed for everyday use and features four simple pockets, one zipper, and multiple card holders inside, making it easy to carry essentials like cash, cards, or small personal items.
A Note on Handmade Beauty: Each piece is hand painted and using natural colors over a slow process of 30–35 days. As a result, you may notice slight variations in color, mild pigment smudges, or irregular dye patterns, these are not defects. They’re gentle marks of authenticity, proudly bearing the touch of human hands, heritage, and nature’s own palette. Wear them like a signature because no two pieces are ever alike.
