This craft dates back over 500 years and originates from the town of Mangalagiri in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. It is known for its simplicity, fine weaving, durability and comfortable texture. The process is detailed and time-intensive, often taking around 1–2 days to complete a single saree. It is easy to drape and comfortable to wear for long hours, making it a suitable choice for weddings, festive occasions, poojas, family functions and other special moments.
Note: This piece carries tiny knots, thread pulls or uneven lines not flaws, but fingerprints. Every irregularity is a whisper from the hands that made it.
