Crafted by skilled master artisans under the renowned Vankar Bhimji Kanji, it beautifully blends traditional charm with a contemporary feel. The fine handwoven texture and detailed craftsmanship make each piece truly unique. It adds a graceful touch to your everyday look or festive ensemble, while offering comforting warmth, making it a lovely choice for chilly days.
A Note on Handmade Beauty
Each piece is hand block printed and dyed using natural colors over a slow process of 15–20 days. As a result, you may notice slight variations in color, mild pigment smudges or irregular dye patterns, these are not defects. They’re gentle marks of authenticity, proudly bearing the touch of human hands, heritage, and nature’s own palette. Wear them like a signature, because no two pieces are ever alike.

For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

How will my order be packed?
Every order includes a handwritten note and a small surprise gift from us. Your product is wrapped carefully to reach you safe. We've done this since day one.
What are the dimensions of your shawls?
Our shawls range from 2 to 2.5 metres in length. Width varies between 0.5 and 1 metre depending on the style. Exact dimensions are on each product page.
Can I use this as a head covering or scarf?
Yes. Our shawls work well as head coverings, neck scarves, or draped over the shoulder. The lighter ones double up nicely for travel and layering.
Will the colors bleed when I wash it?
We recommend a cold water hand wash for the first use. Some natural dyes may release slight color initially. that settles after the first wash. Always wash separately the first time.
Is this suitable as a gift?
Our shawls make thoughtful gifts. They are practical, beautiful, and carry the story of the craft behind them. We pack every order with care and a handwritten note.
How do I iron or press this?
Steam is the safest option for most shawls. If ironing, use the lowest heat with a cotton pressing cloth. Pashmina and embroidered shawls should never be pressed directly.
What is Ajrakh printing?
Ajrakh is a resist-printing craft from Kutch, Gujarat. It uses indigo and madder root dyes in a 16-step process. The Khatri community has practiced it for over 400 years. It holds a GI tag.
How is Ajrakh printing done?
The fabric goes through repeated rounds of resist application, dyeing, washing, and sun-drying. Artisans use carved teak blocks and a mud-lime resist paste. A single piece takes up to two weeks to complete.
How can I tell if my Ajrakh product is genuinely block printed?
Look for slight irregularities in the pattern. block prints are never perfectly symmetrical. The reverse side shows faint ink marks. These small imperfections confirm it's hand-stamped, not machine-made.
Why do Ajrakh prints look slightly different from each other?
Each impression is placed by hand. Block pressure, ink amount, and fabric texture create natural variations. Two pieces from the same batch will look similar but never identical.
How should I wash Ajrakh printed products?
First wash in cold water with a pinch of salt to set the dye. Always hand wash or gentle machine cycle. Dry in shade. direct sun can shift natural dye colors over time.
What does Woolens feel like?
Woolens feel warm, springy, and insulating. Natural wool has a slight crimp you can feel . tiny waves in each fibre that trap air. Handwoven woolens have extra body and texture.
How do I wash Woolens products?
Hand wash in cold water with mild wool detergent. Do not twist or wring. Lay flat on a towel to dry. Dry cleaning is recommended for heavily embroidered woolens pieces.
Is Woolens suitable only for winter?
Primarily, yes. Woolens works best in cool and cold weather. Lighter woolens pieces can work in air-conditioned indoor settings. It's not suitable for peak summer use.
How do I store Woolens products in off-season?
Clean before storing. Fold and place in a breathable cotton bag. Add neem leaves or naphthalene to prevent moths. Store in a dry, dark cupboard. Check every few months.
Does Woolens pill or shed?
Some pilling is normal with wool and wool-blend fabrics in early use. Gently remove pills with a fabric shaver. After the initial period, the surface stabilizes and pilling reduces.
