For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

What is Kasuti embroidery?
Kasuti embroidery comes from North Karnataka, traditionally done by Lingayat women. It uses four stitches: gavanti, murgi, neygi, and menthi. The embroidery looks identical on both sides of the fabric.
How long does Kasuti embroidery take?
The stitcher counts fabric threads and creates patterns without any pre-drawn design. The gavanti (double running) stitch produces patterns that look the same on both sides. No knots are used anywhere in the work.
How can I tell if the embroidery is hand-done?
Hand embroidery has a slightly irregular stitch pattern on the reverse side. Machine embroidery shows perfectly uniform stitches. The texture and depth of hand stitching is visibly different.
Will the threads pull or snag during use?
Handle embroidered areas gently. Avoid rubbing against rough surfaces. If a thread catches, don't pull. push it back gently with a needle. Proper care keeps the embroidery intact for years.

Turn inside out and hand wash in cold water. Do not wring or scrub the embroidered area. Press gently with a towel to remove water. Iron on the reverse side at low heat.

How durable is Cotton?
Cotton is one of the most durable natural fabrics. It holds up well to regular washing and daily wear. Handloom cotton often outlasts its machine-made counterparts.
What makes handloom Cotton different from mul cotton?
Handloom Cotton has a distinct texture. slightly uneven, with a softer hand-feel. It's woven on manual looms with natural yarn tension. Mill cotton is uniform but lacks that organic character.
