Black bagru hand block print natural dyed kota doria cotton saree by artisan Purushottam Chhipa. This saree is created using the mud resist printing technique from Rajasthan, practiced for over 400–450 years. Artisans apply a hand-prepared mud paste using carved wooden blocks, dye the fabric and then wash away the resist to reveal distinct patterns. Kota doria is an age-old Indian textile produced in the Kota district of Rajasthan. The doria or threads, are finely interwoven to create signature check patterns. Its lightweight and sheer texture gives it an exquisite grace and elegance of its own. The saree comes with a matching blouse piece to complete the look. Finished with zari border, the saree drapes effortlessly, making it suitable for occasions, cultural gatherings, as well as everyday wear.
