Beige bagh hand block print natural dyed chanderi silk mercerised cotton handloom fabric comes from Bagh village in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. It is known for its centuries-old traditional printing technique that has been passed down through generations, preserving its original process and identity. The technique involves using hand-carved wooden blocks to create intricate geometric and floral patterns on the fabric. A key step in this process is the post-printing treatment, where the fabric is washed in the flowing waters of the Baghini River. This helps fix the colours while enhancing their richness and bringing out a subtle natural sheen. This fabric works well for sarees, suits, dupattas, kurtas, dresses, stoles and even home decor items.
