This happened a couple of years back. Bhujodi sarees are woven by the weavers known as Vankars, who used to weave woollen shawls. They started to experiment with different materials like kala organic cotton, mercerized cotton, silk etc. and the highlights of this saree are the pallu which has an extra weft, colourful designs just like the woollen shawls and the colourful tassels. It is handwoven on a handloom. The saree that has the history and romance of the Rann Of Kutch ingrained in its every thread.
