For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

Double-flip edges with double stitching are key to durability.
In general, bath towels weighing 400 GSM or more are considered good quality. The fabric of these soft towels is woven thicker, thus softer and more absorbent than the lower GSM fabric.
Although it is commonly used for drying after being in water, its main purpose is to provide a surface to lie on. They are also worn to ensure privacy when changing clothes in public and to wipe sand from the body or objects.
After all, if the towel's threads start to pull, or if you notice a lingering smell despite being carefully washed, it's time to throw it away. Body towels and hand towels can last 2-5 years depending on quality.
Counting the number of uses is more important than counting the number of days between washes, and it is a good rule of thumb to wash after every three uses. Cotton towels can be washed by dissolving a small amount of detergent and chlorine-free bleach in lukewarm water, and colored towels can be washed in cold water using neutral detergent and non-color bleach.
