Material
Fine-quality godavari jamdani zari buti handloom cotton fabric from Andhra Pradesh. Azo-free dyes have been used to make this fabric. The base fabric for Jamdani is unbleached cotton yarn, and the design is woven using bleached cotton yarns so that a light-and-dark effect is created. The process is extremely time-consuming as it involves a tedious form of hand looming. The making of jamdani involves the supplementary weft technique along with the standard weft technique. With the latter, the base sheer material is made on which thicker threads are used to create designs.
Care
Gentle hand wash separately in cold water with mild/liquid detergents. Avoid soaking for too long.
Colour
Slight difference in color from the visible product image is possible. Read more.

Creyo
Verified Partner
Creyo, formerly Chitrika is an ‘artisan-owned’ brand of the producer companies promoted by Chitrika Foundation as a part of Access Livelihoods, an NGO based in Hyderabad. The producer enterprises promoted by Chitrika will collectively use this brand name. With ‘collective gain’ as its core vision, they stand for what small artisan collectives can achieve ‘collectively’ while also enabling an equitable share across the value chain both for the craft community and its service providers as well as the consumer. They stand for affordably priced, ‘zero-bleed’ range of vibrant colors and thoughtfully designed high-quality products that are rooted in traditional techniques, and yet offer you just that surprise twist you may be looking for! A “Creyo, formerly Chitrika” product is a labor of love and hard work put together by the weavers and their Company staff who are weavers themselves – from planning to its complete execution – with support from the Chitrika Foundation team. In that sense, it is truly a ‘hand-heart-mind-crafted’ product! A design approach that is inclusive – which a large number of artisans can adapt to with existing skills or with minimal training while gradually increasing their earnings – has been at the core of our design philosophy. While gently pushing the ‘skill boundaries’ of the artisans, we work to present their traditional techniques and design repertoires through fresh interpretations in product lines that are representative of market aspirations.
Jamdani Srikakulam is very different from other Jamdani counterparts. Srikakulam, particularly Ponduru and its surrounding areas, is famous for its grayish-white hand-woven cotton fabric, often used to decorate simple butas fabrics woven in contrasting colors using the Jamdani technique.

For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.
I'm really happy with my order!
nice cotton and the colors are beautifull.
fast delivery, even with the custum stop.
and I also received a very nice personally note in my packet
The fabric is so soft and pure cotton. The color is so beautiful as shown in the picture. Received an additional beutiful scrunchie as gift. Thanks for this. Will buy more fabric from itokri in future..
I ordered a number of clothing items and kolhapuri chappals. I am very happy with the quality of the items and the service provided by the team for the order was very professional. I will be going back to itokri for more purchases. Thank you.
I am not reluctant to recomment iTokri on the basis of my experience. My order was shipped very carefully to UAE and I did receive it in good condition. Personal care was taken by the people at iTokri and this is my second order and experience with iTokri.
I am glad.
If the seams are sticking out, uneven, or appearing to be stitched multiple times, the quality is poor. You can also remove the fabric from both sides of the seam and peel it off a bit. If the fabric peels off the seam, it is most likely that the seam is very weak and not sewn well.
Due to its ultra-fine fibres, synthetic microfibre is the fabric that lasts the longest at this time. Its fibres are tightly woven which creates a strong layer of protection.
Naturally woven or knitted cotton fabrics are very comfortable and are one of the best fabrics for making garments. Breathable fabric that keeps you cool even at high temperatures. The best thing about sewing cotton is that it's easy.
Clothing made from cotton and its blends is the most common fabric loved by people all over the world. Cotton suits are very popular in India due to the long summer and the variety of fabrics. From casual to formal, cotton clothing is a must for everyone.
