For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

Handloom and handmade fabrics may shrink 3-5% after the first wash. We suggest buying slightly extra if stitching a fitted garment. Pre-wash in cold water to settle it.
Block-printed and screen-printed fabrics show the design on one side. Woven and ikat fabrics often show the pattern on both sides. The product page mentions this.
Precut fabrics come in fixed lengths mentioned in the listing (typically 1m, 2.5m, or 5m). These are pre-measured and cannot be customised. Check the dimensions before ordering.
Pipad printing takes its name from Pipad in Rajasthan. The craft uses wooden blocks to print traditional patterns on cotton cloth. Red, black, and indigo dominate the color palette.
The printer lays fabric on a padded table, dips carved blocks into dye paste, and stamps them with even pressure. Alignment is done by eye. A skilled printer places hundreds of impressions per hour without a single guide mark.
Look for slight irregularities in the pattern. block prints are never perfectly symmetrical. The reverse side shows faint ink marks. These small imperfections confirm it's hand-stamped, not machine-made.
Each impression is placed by hand. Block pressure, ink amount, and fabric texture create natural variations. Two pieces from the same batch will look similar but never identical.
First wash in cold water with a pinch of salt to set the dye. Always hand wash or gentle machine cycle. Dry in shade. direct sun can shift natural dye colors over time.
Mulberry silk is the finest silk variety. It feels exceptionally smooth, almost liquid, with a pearlescent sheen. The long, unbroken fibres create a surface with zero roughness.
Dry clean is safest for Mulberry Silk. If hand washing, use cold water and a mild silk-specific detergent. Never wring. Roll in a towel to absorb moisture, then dry flat in shade.
Mulberry Silk works across seasons. It feels cool in summer and retains warmth in winter. The natural temperature regulation of silk makes it comfortable year-round in Indian climates.
With proper care, Mulberry Silk products last for years. The fibre is naturally strong. Avoid rough handling, direct sun, and chemical detergents. Gentle care keeps it looking fresh long-term.
Silk production is labour-intensive. from rearing silkworms to reeling the thread. Mulberry Silk involves additional regional techniques that add time and skill. The price reflects the material and the maker's effort.
