For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

How do I know this is genuinely handmade?
We source every product directly from artisan workshops across India. No middlemen, no factories. We work with over 10,000 artisans in 500+ craft clusters.
How will my order be packed?
Every order includes a handwritten note and a small surprise gift from us. Your product is wrapped carefully to reach you safe. We've done this since day one.
What are the dimensions of your dupattas?
Our dupattas range from 2 to 2.5 metres in length. Width varies between 0.5 and 1 metre depending on the style. Exact dimensions are on each product page.
Can I use this as a head covering or scarf?
Yes. Our dupattas work well as head coverings, neck scarves, or draped over the shoulder. The lighter ones double up nicely for travel and layering.
Will the colors bleed when I wash it?
We recommend a cold water hand wash for the first use. Some natural dyes may release slight color initially. that settles after the first wash. Always wash separately the first time.
Is this suitable as a gift?
Our dupattas make thoughtful gifts. They are practical, beautiful, and carry the story of the craft behind them. We pack every order with care and a handwritten note.
How do I iron or press this?
Iron on low heat while slightly damp for best results. Use a pressing cloth on silk, chiffon, or embroidered dupattas. Steam works well on cotton and linen. Avoid high heat on synthetics.
What is Bandhani?
Bandhani is a tie-dye craft from Gujarat and Rajasthan, with roots going back 5,000 years. Artisans use fingernails to pinch fabric into tiny points and tie each one with thread. A single saree can have over 10,000 ties.
How is Bandhani done?
The artisan lifts fabric with a fingernail, ties it tightly with thread at that point, and repeats thousands of times to create a pattern. The tied cloth is then dipped in dye baths. Untying reveals the pattern.
How do I know this is hand-tied and not digitally printed?
Hand-tied Bandhani shows subtle color gradients where dye seeps near the ties. The pattern is slightly imperfect and organic. Machine prints look uniform and flat in comparison.
Why does the pattern vary between pieces?
Every tie is placed by hand. The pressure, spacing, and dye absorption differ each time. Two Bandhani pieces from the same maker will share the style but differ in exact pattern placement.
How do I wash Bandhani products?
Wash separately in cold water the first time. some color release is normal. Use mild soap. Avoid bleach. Air dry in shade. Colors become more settled and vivid after the first wash.
What does Georgette feel like?
Georgette has a slightly rough, grainy texture with a flowing drape. It feels lightweight and airy. The crinkled surface gives it grip, so it stays in place when draped.
How do I wash Georgette products?
Hand wash in cold water or use a gentle machine cycle. Georgette dries quickly and doesn't wrinkle much. Avoid high heat while ironing. use low to medium settings.
Is Georgette suitable for hot weather?
Georgette is light and airy, making it comfortable in warm conditions. It doesn't cling to the body. For peak summer, pair it with loose silhouettes for maximum comfort.
How durable is Georgette?
Georgette holds its shape well over time. It resists shrinking and stretching. The fabric is easy to maintain and keeps its drape through multiple washes with basic care.
Does Georgette wrinkle easily?
Georgette is naturally wrinkle-resistant compared to cotton and silk. Light steaming or low-heat ironing removes any creases. It travels well and looks put-together with minimal effort.
