What material is used in Golden Grass products?
Golden Grass craft comes from Odisha, using the naturally golden burflower (capim dourado) grass. Artisans weave it into jewelry, bags, and decorative items. The natural metallic sheen makes it look like spun gold without any artificial coating.
Is this eco-friendly?
Artisans harvest the golden grass stalks, dry them, and wrap them around threads or fabric cores. The wrapped threads are then coiled and stitched to form items. The natural golden color does not fade or tarnish.
Will it hold up to daily use?
Natural fibre products are surprisingly sturdy for regular household use. Avoid heavy loads and prolonged moisture. With basic care, they last for years and develop a nice patina.
How do I clean Golden Grass products?
Wipe with a dry cloth. For stubborn dust, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Never soak in water. prolonged moisture weakens natural fibres and can cause mold.
Will the color or texture change over time?
Natural fibres deepen in tone with age. Some lighten with sun exposure. This aging is normal and gives the product character. Store away from direct sun to slow the process.
