For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

The sling bag is the ultimate ergonomic carrying accessory. Unlike other styles of bags, the sling bag eliminates neck, shoulder and back pain the way the shoulder works. The best way to wear a sling bag is with a chest strap.
A lightweight design is always best, preferably with a comfortable strap that is easy to use and adjust. Nylon is best for this. You want a bag that serves you and is comfortable, so our number one tip is to find a comfortable sling.
One minor explanation is that sling bags and shoulder bags share similarities with one shoulder strap, but are not synonymous. Over-the-shoulder bags tend to be larger, boxy, and snug, but there is no conclusive scientific evidence.
A sling bag is usually the smallest bag. The length, width and height of the ideal sling bag should not exceed 15 cm and 25 cm respectively. Sizes can range from the size of a fist to a suitcase.
