Material | This Kala Raksha toiletry pouch features exquisite rabari hand embroidery. Made by skilled artisans using traditional techniques, the intricate embroidery showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Kala Raksha community, and the attention to detail is evident in every stitch. It has one simple and one zipper pocket inside. Rabari embroidery is unique to the nomadic Rabaris. Essential to Rabari embroidery is the use of mirrors in a variety of shapes. Rabaris outline patterns in chain stitch, then decorate them with a regular sequence of mirrors and accent stitches, in a regular sequence of colors. Rabaris also use decorative back stitching, called bakhiya. |
Care | Gentle hand wash separately in cold water with mild/liquid detergents, excess natural colours may bleed when washed for the first time. Avoid soaking for too long. |

×Kala Raksha
Verified Partner Explore All Kutchi Hand Embroidered Products by Kala Raksha ProductsIn 1993 KALA RAKSHA was established as a registered society and trust. Comprised of artisans, community members, and experts in the fields of art, design, agriculture, and museums, KALA RAKSHA today collaborates with nearly 1,000 embroiders from 7 ethnic communities. KALA RAKSHA means "preservation of works of art". The foundation aims to preserve the local traditional arts and make them culturally and economically viable. Trust activities are carried out by artisans. Without craftsmen, there can be no traditional art. Wherever possible, positions ranging from office manager to coordinator and tailor are recruited from local residents. The Trust provides the training you need to make this possible. KALA RAKSHA encourages community members to work together towards the goal of self-sufficiency.

For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.
