How long does Rajasthan Kantha embroidery take?
Women layer old cotton fabrics, then stitch through all layers with a simple running stitch. The stitches pull the fabric slightly, creating a characteristic rippled texture. Colored threads form geometric or floral fill patterns.
How can I tell if the embroidery is hand-done?
