Jabbar Khatri is a renowned Rogan artist hailing from Nirona village in Gujarat, India. He is known for his exceptional skills in Rogan art, and he comes from a family with a long history in this craft. The Khatri family has been practicing Rogan art for several generations. He grew up watching his father, Sri Khatri Arab Hasam (a national and state award winner), and his cousin, Shri Khatri Abdugafur Daud (padma shri), practice Rogan. Soon, Jabbar Khatri also started learning from them and started taking steps towards sustaining his craft. They have presented and taught Rogan at various events and conferences. All their efforts are towards bringing Rogan art forward and keeping it going. Their efforts to bring Rogan into the daylight have succeeded, as they have had opportunities to display my craft at various exhibitions regularly. Some of the exhibitions are: Delhi Craft Museum, HMCM Megha Cluster, Craft Council of India, Garvi Gurjari International Buyer Seller Meet, Craftroots, Piramal Art Residency, Rann Utsav, and NIFT Digital Craft Bazaar. They have also presented his work at India Craft Week (Delhi), Paramparik Karigar (Mumbai), Hundred Hands (Bengaluru), Mahindra Sanatkada Festival (Lucknow), and Dastakar (Delhi) exhibitions.
