Mahmed Yakub Khatri was born in Kutch district, Gujarat state, India. He then moved to Anjar-Kutch, where his mother and sisters have been making Tie & Dye crafts since childhood and they have taught him to practice this craft. When they taught him, he started making crafts on cotton, and gradually he started making Bandhej on Georgette, Gaji, silk, and wool fabrcs. His two older sisters, his father and mother, are no longer in this world, but they taught him the "Bandhni craft", which has become his livelihood now. Mahmed Yakub Khatri's contribution to the art of tie knotting and dyeing is amazing. It is a master craftsman who can dye all kinds of colors independently with different kinds of patterns.
Bagh layouts are dramatic with the use of black and red alternately on a white background. Its production process is manually painstaking. Though the techniques and designs are age-old the prints retain their contemporary appeal.

For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.
Silk is a natural fiber renowned for its lustre, strength and durability, and has a long history of trading worldwide. Silk is synonymous with luxury due to its high cost, softness and elegant appearance, and is a popular fabric in high-end fashion and haute couture designs.
Silk is a natural fibre produced by insects as a material for nests and cocoons. Various types of insects produce silk, including silk moths, beetles, bees, bumblebees, wasps, and weaver ants.
There's a reason good quality silk can last a lifetime. For such thin and light fabrics, silk is very durable. Silk threads are four times stronger than steel threads of the same thickness. Hundreds of years ago, the Mongols also made armour from silk.
Silk satin has the upper hand and is a popular choice for dresses to add elegance and charm. Made of coarse and short fibre, it is firm to the touch, lightweight and airy.
