Since 2006, Ubuntu Arts has been working together to bring together a group of youth, college, and adult mentors to devise, create and exhibit art projects that address social issues that affect young people. .. Each Ubuntu Arts project creates a framework and unique process for people to collaborate creatively, identify problems, envision solutions, create art, and display art. In this process of hands-on learning, participants build relationships, abilities, and skills for themselves and their communities. Throughout the project, they strive to empower young people to be full participants and valuable decision-makers. Young people work together in groups of host institutions, where they work closely with academic contacts, adult mentors, and artists.
