What is raw silk?

How to clean raw silk?

How is raw silk produced?

There are two stages to produce raw silk- first one is raising larvae or caterpillars and caring for them while the second one is growing mulberry trees. When silkworms spin themselves to form cocoons, that’s when silk fibre is produced. The soft fibres are harvested from the cocoon by boiling them in hot water and stirring it to unravel the fibre.
