Edem Chandana, an Ikat weaver from Yadagiri, Telangana, learned the art from his father at the age of 15 and is the youngest weaver in the village. Since her father's death in 2018, Chandana, now 18 years old, is responsible not only for her mother and her brother but also for 40 other weavers who work with her. Chandana says, 'A good weaver with a perfect grasp of thread binding, ikat, and telia rumal techniques, People of my generation have left this craft. I hope this will make a difference in this area. I am planning a workshop to teach people how to weave and give direction to the next generation of weavers. I want to rebuild the web industry. "
