At a young age, Mohammed Bilal Khatri learned the traditional craft of bagh print from his father, Shilp Guru Mr. Mohammed Yusuf Khatri. He was born in the village of Bagh on June 10, 1987. Mohammed Bilal’s family has been working in the trade of traditional Bagh print since the 14th century. As Mohammed Bilal began early in life, he carries an experience of about 20 years of Bagh Hand Block Printing. He has been working since age 8 and learning the complex nuances of traditional techniques and vegetable dyes. He was awarded the National Award by the Government of India in 2018. Besides, he has received awards from the International UNESCO and WCC (Awards of Excellence) and the Russian Diploma Awards from the International Ethnomir “The Dialogue of Cultures—United World” Fund. He, as a devoted craftsman, learned this craft from his father. Under his guidance he perceived the distinctions of traditional techniques of bagh hand block printing and natural colors. While working on this craft, he also created modern designs. The direct exhibition of the craft and the things made by Bagh Print Handicraft by Bilal was done in foreign countries: Italy, Bahrain, Russia, China, and Iran. And the entire major exhibition is all over India. Bilal brought tribal clothing to the world of fashion, Lakme Fashion Week, and many fashion shows in the country and abroad. He admired the beauty of Bagh print. The father of Mohammed Bilal Khatri, Mohammed Yusuf Khatri, is awarded the Shilp Guru, the highest award in the field of handicrafts in India, as well as a Gold Medalist. He was awarded two national awards by the Development Commissioner of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India, in 2003. Mohammed Yusuf is the only Indian craftsman who feels proud to receive two national awards. Besides, he has seven awards from the International UNESCO.

Very good product

The iTokri linen product is high quality, hand-woven with excellent edge finishing, suitable for warmer climates like the southern USA. It is affordable, wearable year-round, and has a semi-permeable weave ideal for southern breezes. Layering might be required for colder climates.

For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.
