Soap has an expiration date, but it will work if there is some foam left over when you wash your hands. Most store-bought soaps expire in 2-3 years. Natural or handmade soaps can expire in less than a year as essential oils and fragrances can go rancid or mouldy.
Depending on various factors, it may take 1 to 15 days for the soap to set in the mould. 2-3 days of form is average. There are several factors that determine how long it takes for soap to harden.
