Aagor was founded on October 13, 2000, by Sunil Kaul (who was a doctor in the army and then came to work in the first villages in Rajasthan and since 1996 in Assam) and Jennifer Liang (an employee of Aagor). the trained social worker at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, who also came to the northeast in 1996). Both were aided in ant training by Late Sh. Ravindranath Upadhyay, a prominent Gandhian of the Sarvodaya movement, worked in remote villages in Assam for over 40 years. Together they founded AAGOR with the main goal of working for the development of the northeast region through volunteering.
Bodos are said to be one of the finest weavers in Assam. The basic raw materials involved are acrylic, cotton, and silk. Trials also practiced Cotton cultivation, yarn spinning, and dyeing but gradually the weavers discontinued these activities for other reasons and moved towards weaving.

For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

If the seams are sticking out, uneven, or appearing to be stitched multiple times, the quality is poor. You can also remove the fabric from both sides of the seam and peel it off a bit. If the fabric peels off the seam, it is most likely that the seam is very weak and not sewn well.
